Application Instructions and Forms

Business Partnership Support can be applied for by submitting a specific application form (point 1 below) and its attachments (points 2-6). The attachments (e.g. project description) will be handled confidentially. Before filling in the application form, please read the terms and conditions of the Business Partnership Support and instructions regarding acceptable expenses. The application form and some of the attachments are filled in on specific forms which can be downloaded below.

Business Partnership Support application form and required attachments:
  1. Duly signed Business Partnership Support Application Form.* Please note that the information provided on the form is public.
  2. Duly signed Project Description.*
  3. Budgeted Project Expenses.** Please note that the estimated expenses must be detailed onto this Excel sheet, where the expenses are specified for each project phase. On the left-hand-side of the Excel sheet there are "+" signs that have to be clicked for a more specific project phase view. The Excel sheet must provide detailed information on e.g. flights, accommodation and working expense estimations.
  4. Questionnaire for the assessment of development and environmental impacts of BPSF projects that provides estimates on the environmental and social effects of the project.
  5. Copy of the applicant's formal business registration documents (including e.g. information on authorized representatives of the company)
  6. Copy of the applicant's audited financial statements and corresponding auditor's statements for the previous two financial periods. If the company is only recently established and has no financial statements, background information (e.g. CV) of the owners/ key personnel needs to be submitted.

*The signed originals of the Application Form and the Project Description must be sent to Finnpartnership by post. Please note that the undersigned must have signatory rights as per official company documents i.e. several signatures might be required.
**The Budgeted Project Expenses must be sent via e-mail in the Excel form.

The application will not be registered until all the necessary documents have been submitted. In addition, the applicant can submit all relevant information that might affect the decision making (e.g. business plan, contact information on potential project partners in developing country). Finnpartnership will most likely request additional information about the project during the decision making process.

The application will be registered when the application form and all necessary attachments are received. After registration, the project will be assigned an identification number and the applicant will be informed of the registration. The facility may cover expenses incurred only as of the registration date.

The deadline for applications and time frame for the decision making process

Applications for the Business Partnership Support can be submitted continuously throughout the year. However, the year is divided up into two-month application periods, which are 1.1.-28.2., 1.3.-30.4., 1.5.-30.6., 1.7.-31.8., 1.9.-31.10. and 1.11.-31.12.

The decision making process consists of the 2 month application period and a processing period of 2 months. The applicant will be notified of the Recommendation made by the Finnfund Support Committee, after which the support decision (Discretionary Government Transfer Decision) will be made by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The applicant will be notified of the decision in writing.
